BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Investigators have now released the 911 call in the Tuesday morning murder of a 23-year-old man at his home.
The Bladen County Sheriff's Office says Malcom Jerome Melvin was found shot in the head on the 100 block of Sammy Lane near Elizabethtown just before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. According to the call, a woman said the victim was her boyfriend and she didn't know if he was alive.
"I'm scared, people, I don't know if they at the door. Like, you see, I think they are still outside," the caller said.
The 911 operator asked, "Is he breathing?" The caller responds, "I don't know. I can't tell."
Wednesday evening, deputies announced they were searching for two men -- Twasjay Roderick Brown and Ernest Raysean Grey. Both are facing first degree murder charges. Deputies said both suspects are considered armed and dangerous. In the 911 call, the caller said she did not know who shot her boyfriend.
There were other people in the home at the time of the shooting, including a young child, but no one else was injured.
